Anime Queen’s Blade Unlimited 1st Episode To Ship on July 13

Queen’s Blade Unlimited is a reboot of the Queen’s Blade anime series, featuring revamped character designs, and a new storyline. The 1st episode of Queen’s Blade Unlimited entitled Elina no Tabidachi (Elina’s Departure) will be released on Bluray and DVD in Japan on July 13, 2018.

The story showcases beautiful warrior Elina (Kaori Mizuhashi) fighting with Airi (Kanae Itō) over an amnesiac boy named Michel. Furthermore, “More strongly, more violently, reboot!” is the tagline for the new project. It offers us an idea of what we can expect form this new series.

Anime News Network quotes Miyagomono-ya Hans talking about Queen’s Blade Unlimited returning to the origin nine years ago, while simultaneously depicting a never-before-seen Queen’s Blade world.

The returning cast members and characters include:

  • Yuki Kaida as Echidna
  • Mikako Takahashi as Nowa
  • Sayaka Ohara as Melpha

Queen’s Blade Unlimited – #1 Promo Video

The official website for the Queen’s Blade Unlimited anime began streaming a promo video for the anime on Friday. The video highlights the anime’s main characters and also highlights that the story is rebooting back to the origin. The PV is definitely a visual treat. Hence, we can expect the OVA animation quality to be really good.

ANN also reported that aside from the new anime, the franchise will also get a new figure line tied to a new story. Check out the anime’s website teasing “new battles” for all the “18 beautiful warriors.”

Queen’s Blade anime adapting Hobby Japan’s combat picture book series based on the Lost Worlds game premiered in 2009. The franchise has since inspired two additional television anime and multiple original video anime, manga, and novels. Media Blasters released the first two anime series in North America, and Sentai Filmworks released the third series and the Queen’s Blade: Beautiful Warriors OVA.
