ABOUT THIS GAME
Play as the sole survivor of a world destroyed by nuclear war. Start from Vault 111, an underground nuclear fallout shelter. In this post-apocalyptic, each moment is a fight for survival. You have a lot of areas to explore. Every choice you make influences your over all goal. Only you can rebuild and determine the fate of the Wasteland. Welcome home.
The game is set in an open world environment. Players can switch between a first-person and third-person perspective. The game introduces features like layered armor system and a crafting system with the looted items.
Players are free to roam about in the game's open world. Collecting items and completing tasks is crucial to the game. All this necessitates the importance of a map for items. Custom weapons are built by using the collected items. There are over 50 base guns and crafting allows for a variety of modifications. The armor can be modified into power armor. Players can add a jetpack to allow them to fast-travel to a location. Also, individual parts of the armor suite can be modified with different armor types.
The game features a whole new settlement aspect. Players can modify existing building for habitations. Using the craft ability, in-game objects and structures can be used to build custom structures. In addition, the towns can be powered with working electricity, using a power line system. This paves path for a functional settlement. Merchants and non-player characters can inhabit the player's settlements. Players would build water spouts and grow food in makeshift patches for the settlers. Also, players can build deference structures for their settlements.

Surviving the wastelands
The vast lands have limited resources. Players need to make the best use of every available item. Consequently, loot everything you see. Ammo and other items better your chances of survival. Items like Buffout and Grilled Radstag will boost your carry weight for a short time. You can travel faster to your storage location of choice.
Crafting is a very important part of the game. You can improve your weapons and armor with it. You can also create consumables and ammo. Miscellaneous items can be broken down and used for making useful products. Consequently, this greatly improves your chances of survival.
Moreover, do not ignore building up of settlements. Constant supply of critical items like pure water are easy to maintain when you have a functional settlement. Keep an eye on your radiation and addiction levels. Power armor uses up a lot of power quickly. Fusion cores come handy in these situations.
The game is all about exploration. Quests open door to the massive world. Talk to non player characters to discover new locations and items.
Fallout 4 Map Locations
The game has a lot of important locations to check out. Also, this is a must because the items have valuable uses. Further, you can only survive from enemies and radiation storms etc only by collecting large number of items. The vastness of the game makes it difficult to quickly find what you need. Hence, a map does come handy. Maps also help you to find places for building a comfortable settlement. Reddit user Koolkyle802 posted this map. It has marked locations for Bobblehead, Magazine, Holotape etc. It also has the Vault and settlement locations mapped. The overall expected threat level is also shown in the map.
