For his first year of high school, Kaoru Nishimi arrives in Kyushu. He’s a top student who is an introverted classical pianist. He’s constantly had to move from place to place, so he basically abandons all hope of fitting in. This movie to Kyushu is no different, as he prepares himself for another meaningless and lonely year. That is until he runs into the infamous school delinquent Sentarou Kawabuchi. Kawabuchi is known for ditching class and constantly getting into fights. Though you may never pair Nishimi and Kawabuchi together, the two surprisingly have a mutual interest – jazz.
Kawabuchi has an immeasurable love for the genre, which inspires Kaoru to learn more about it. With this new goal, he slowly starts to come out of his shell and makes his first friend in the process. He starts playing at after-school jazz sessions in the basement of Ritsuko Mukae, a fellow student. Mukae’s family owns a record shop, and this allows Kaoru to play the piano freely. As the three become more and more intertwined, Kaoru learns that his summer might just become an unforgettable one.
20. Sweetness and lightning
Kouhei Inuzuka has been the sole caretaker of his daughter Tsumugi ever since his wife died. Despite trying his best, there is a huge gap in his cooking knowledge as he’s extremely busy as a teacher. As a result, he heavily depends on ready-made meals bought from the grocery stores to feed his daughter. Inuzuka is extremely frustrated with himself, though, and wants to provide a fresh and nutritious meal for his daughter. To do so, he takes up an offer from Kotori Iida, a student of his, to come and have dinner at her family’s restaurant.
Inuzuka and Tsugumi visit the place, only to find out that the restaurant is often closed because Kotori’s mother is usually away for work. Kotori eats alone most of the time. She doesn’t let this gloomy fact deter the father and daughter and convinces them to continue visiting the restaurant. This way, Kouhei gets to cook delicious homemade food with Kotori. Living up to its name, the anime is extremely sweet and will get you to care for the characters like they’re your own family. It’s a heartwarming story that explores the meanings and values behind cooking and what it means to be a family.
19. Grand Blue
Among the seaside town of Izu’s ocean waves and rays of shining sun, Iori Kitahara is just beginning his freshman year at Izu University. As he moves into his uncle’s scuba diving shop, Grand Blue, he eagerly expects his dream college life, filled with attractive girls and good friends.
But things don’t exactly go according to plan. Upon going to the shop, he meets a group of unruly, naked upperclassmen. 15. Usagi Drop
Daikichi Kawachi is a thirty-year-old bachelor waging a reputable job but otherwise meandering aimlessly through life. When his grandfather passes away, he goes back to the family home to pay his respects. Upon arriving at the house, he meets an enigmatic youth called Rin who, to Daikichi’s surprise, is his grandfather’s illegal daughter!
The nervous and detached girl is considered an embarrassment to the family. Also, she finds herself excluded by her father’s family, all of them declining to take care of her after the time of his death. Daikichi, provoked by their bitterness towards Rin, declares that he will take her in; this is despite the fact that he is a youthful, bachelor man with no childcare experience.

The names of the girls are Akari Mizunashi, Alice Carroll, and Aika S. Granzchesta. Fortunately, the girls have the help of the three penultimate Prima Undines in Neo-Venezia—Alicia Florence, Athena Glory, and Akira E. Ferrari. They are called the “Water Fairies” based on their skill. With their aid, the three apprentices train hard and try to control any situations that they find themselves in.
Aria The Origination is an anime about the hard work and everyday lives of these three young girls. The girls are doing their best to get better as tour gondoliers in Neo-Venezia, a modified replica of Venice. This anime talks about determination and perseverance and is also a ton of fun. Even though he has actually grown accustomed to handling his annoying friends, who are his significant obstacle to have a calm life, he still has a long way to go. Also uniting with the usual misfits are a few new ones whose acts add to Saiki’s distress; making his dreams of a trouble-free life a faraway fantasy.
08. Ashita no Joe (2)
Yabuki Joe is left heartbroken and helpless after a terrible event. In an attempt to leave the past behind, Joe goes away from the gym and stars wandering. Onizuka is a reformed biker gang boss who has his eyes focused on a new moral goal; to become the world’s best teacher. He wants to become the best teacher for the chance of meeting hot high school girls. Okay, so he is, for the most part, reformed.
However, stern managing directors and a class of brutal offenders stand between Onizuka and his aim. Also, they will use any method, illegal or legal, to send the new teacher away. This is perfect as Onizuka’s methods won’t be found in any teaching manual; he gives a damn about the difference between legal and illegal acts about as much as he cares for the age difference between himself and a high school girl.
So be prepared for math that does not add up, language you would be punched for using, and biology that would make a grownup blush. That is unless of course, you are the Great Teacher Onizuka.

Eighth-grade student Shigeo “Mob” Kageyama has accessed into his inner pool of psychic powers at a very young age. But the power immediately demonstrates to be a bane when he understands the possible danger in his powers. So opting to subdue his powers, Mob’s only current use for his ability is to impress his all-time crush, Tsubomi. Also, she soon becomes bored with the same tricks over and over again.
In order to bring control of his powers, Mob surrenders himself under the shelter of Arataka Reigen; a confidence man declaring to be a psychic, who uses Mob’s skills for pocket change.
