I have to say though for anime fans I think it’s a good time is flying by so quickly. Because these next 2 seasons of anime are going to supply us with some really damn good anime. You may not know what those anime are though which is why this list exists to give you the rundown on what to look out for so how about we get started.

Summer 2019 Anime Worth Checking Out Guide

The Top 40 Best Manga of All Time: The Definitive List!

01. Fire Force (Enen no Shouboutai)

It’s Fire Force baby my most hyped series airing this season. Well, this and the series below this one. Anyway right here people we are looking at the return Atsushi Ōkubo works to the anime world. Who is Atsushi Ōkubo? you might wonder. Well, this is the guy who created Soul Eater an anime series that’s loved to this day. It’s good to see him back on top. His last series well wasn’t that great, we don’t talk about that series.

But yeah back to fire force there is so much to say about this series oh boy is it so good. So good I am confident enough to think this will be one of the more popular anime to air this season. And to give you an extra boost to why I think this will be one of the bests next season. David Production is working on this anime the guys that have been animating nothing but god damn JoJo Anime for like the last 7 years is knocking this out. So you know we are gonna get some smooth and crisp animation that won’t disappoint.

Maybe I’m too excited but series I can’t recommend this series enough. I would love to talk more about this series but we trying not to spoil here. Spoilers can come when the series airs I say. But if you need to know more about the series do go check out this article on our site. Here is why you should watch Fire Force in 2019

Series Summary

Terror has paralyzed the clockwork metropolis of Tokyo! Possessed by demons, people have begun to burst into flame, leading to the establishment of a special firefighting department: the Fire Force, ready to roll on a moment’s notice to fight spontaneous combustion anywhere it might break out.

Can the Fire Force discover the source of this strange phenomenon and put a stop to it? Or will the city burn to ashes first? (Source: shonen magazine)

02. Vinland Saga

Vinland Saga without a doubt one of the most mature anime airing this season. Surprisingly enough for me anyway not many people talk or know about this one(Well for the anime anyway). Kind of shocking maybe I’m just looking in the wrong places but yeah don’t see to much chitchat about it. Which sucks more people need to keep an eye on this series while anime-only watchers do not know much about this series. In the manga community, this series is deeply loved and it wouldn’t be that surprising to see manga readers putting this series on the same level as Berserk on there Favourites lists. Heck it’s even on my favorite manga list

There is a lot of amazing things to say about this one honestly. It’s deep gripping revenge coming of age story that will constantly have your attention. Until you reach a certain chill arc which I’m sure manga readers know what I’m talking about. And it should also be mentioned, The studio animating this series will be Wit Studio. Pretty sure everyone at this point knows who wit studio is. If you don’t well let me tell you these are the guys that animated Attack on Titan. Honestly, do I need to say more? knowing this alone can already give you hope that we going to get something amazing animation wise after seeing how well the recent season of Attack on Titan was animated.

Anyway, keep an eye out on this anime people. You’ll experience something great. I’ll tell you that now.

03. Dr. STONE

Here we go, boys and girls, the final manga series from the current big and popular new shounen jump manga. Is finally getting its anime with this it means every single current shounen jump manga has gotten its own anime the new generation of top shounens is finally upon us.

Other than that though Dr. Stone is a really great shounen series I can see becoming one of the top anime this Summer season. From it’s great characters to its very interesting world setting. It’s going to have a lot of people glued to there screen as they see how we currently adapt and build in this new primitive world. While also trying to figure out how things became the way it is. This will definitely be a series that will keep you interested.

I have more to say about this series but that will be a different article focusing on new generation shounen so keep an eye out for them when it comes out. For now, tho do make sure you watch this series when it airs you won’t regret it.

04. Arifureta: From Commonplace to World’s Strongest

Here we go, people, The Edgy series of the season oh boy I don’t think people are ready for the edge master that is this MC. After being Delayed for almost a year, Series was meant to air last year fall. So after such a huge delay this series better be good right? Well, we can hope,

But anyway let me mention why I even put this anime on the list. I put it here because I really do believe this might actually end up being one of the more popular anime airing next season. Yeah I know it’s a basic Isekai I’m sure most people are sick of those. But there’s something about this one that will probably get a lot of casual watchers attention. I’m reading the LN for this series and honestly, this series its self is pretty fun nothing amazing nothing great.

It’s just basic…basic but fun if you go into this series not taking it seriously except for the first half of the series where some asshole things happen. The rest of the series is just one hype as fuck battle fantasy and well you can’t go wrong with that. Unless the animation is horrible….yeah let’s not hope for that. We got White Fox working on this series. They the guys that animated Re/Zero recently. So I have a bit of faith this will be a good adaption.

For now though when it airs I do recommend checking this out. I know it will most certainly be my guilty pleasure anime of this season. I do hope it ends up being yours too.

Series Summary

Among the class transported to another world, Nagumo Hajime is an ordinary male student who didn’t have ambition nor aspiration in life, and thus called ‘Incompetent’ by his classmates.

The class was summoned to become heroes and save a country from destruction. Students of the class were blessed with cheat specifications and cool job class, however, it was not the case with Hajime, with his profession as a ‘Synergist’, and his very mediocre stats. ‘Synergist’, to put it in another word was just artisan class. Being the weakest, he then falls to the depth of the abyss when he and his classmates were exploring a dungeon. What did he find in the depth of the abyss, and can he survive?

05. Is It Wrong to Try and Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? 2

Look what we have here the return of a loved series. Well, I do hope it was loved….. I can’t really remember it’s been so long but I remember a lot of people loving this or did people love Hestia and not the series it’s self because boy do I remember all that Hestia love. Best oppai loli of 2015..wow it’s been 4 years.

But whatever people whether you loved it or not here it is Is It Wrong to Try and Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? 2. The long wait is finally over. I’m sure there are people excited about this. I can say I’m somewhat happy to see the series back. I’m pretty sure the series picks up right where the first season left off. It’s been a while though so would recommend going back and re-watching the series. It should also be mentioned a movie for the series also aired recently, while it’s not linked to the main story of the series. It is something you probably have to go and watch

While I wasn’t a big fan of it back when it aires I can say I enjoyed the series. Especially that amazing fight scene that happened near the end of the first season. That was a very memorable fight. I really do hope they do something cool like that again would honestly make the series worth watching even for newcomers to the series. But hey even if they don’t do something like that again I’m sure the story would at least be somewhat interesting. As long as they focus on the world and not too much on Hestia and the MC they got enough screen time in the first season to justify their character motivations now we need to see those motivations played out in this new season. It would make for a good watch.

Can’t really give you a summary of the second season because big spoilers so here’s a Summary of season 1.

Series Summary

Is it wrong to face the perils of Dungeon alone, in a single-member guild blessed by a failed goddess? Maybe. Is it wrong to dream of playing hero to hapless maidens in Dungeon? Maybe not. After one misguided adventure, Bell Cranel quickly discovers that anything can happen in the labyrinth-even chance encounters with beautiful women. Only problem? He’s the one who winds up the damsel in distress! (Source: Yen Press)

06. A Certain Scientific Accelerator

The one character that deserved his own anime is finally getting his own anime. My boy Accelerator will finally have his time to shine and it’s going to be great. Heck, it might even be better then the main series if adapted correctly.

Anyway, this series is a hard one to recommend while I want many people to watch it so that they can see how great Accelerator is. Those people who may not have watched the main series, A certain magical index or the other spin-off to that A certain scientific railgun. Will end up being dropped into a world with characters they know nothing about and will pretty much not understand what’s going on. But while that may be the case I still want people to watch this and hey if people watch this and become interested in the world and it’s characters hopefully it might make them go watch the main series. Which is why I say everyone should give this series a try.

Series Summary

A Certain Scientific Accelerator, which Accelerator is the main character. The events of the manga occur after his defeat at the hands of Kamijou Touma and the gunshot wound that he received at the hands of Amai Ao.

07. How heavy are the dumbbells you lift?

Don’t know much about this series though from what I’ve seen manga wise this will probably be the weird and wacky anime for this season. Like from the looks of the cover alone you’d think it’s some cute anime girl anime about gyming but take one step into the manga and you bombarded with manly men flexing there amazing Muscles honestly cracked me up. I think this will be a nice little fun series to watch on the side. Something to just chill and laugh it. Or I could be wrong who knows at this point. For now though from what I’ve seen from the manga alone I’ll recommend this.

Series Summary

Sakura is a teenage girl who loves to eat, but when she notices her waistline expanding, she decides to check out the local gym. The gym is full of buff dudes…and Akemi, the student council president?! When Akemi tries to convince Sakura to take up weight training, Sakura resists–until she meets pretty-boy trainer Machio. Now, Sakura is willing to do whatever it takes to bulk up! (Source: Seven Seas)

08. To the Abandoned Sacred Beasts

This is going to be a good one people a good one. Everything I’ve seen for this series so far has been looking great. One of the main reasons I think this one will be great is because MAPPA studio will be adapting it and as of late they have been making so many good anime it’s hard to not get excited for there adaptions of anime at this point. Also, I can vouch for this series that it’s going to be good because I actually read the manga for this series and man 2 Volumes in and it is just a blast to read. On the note of reading this.

When I was busy making this article I was tempted to just ignore this series mainly because I didn’t recognize it at first. But once I looked it up and realized what this series is I kind of got super excited because it again is from a manga I’ve been reading and loving as of late. So how I didn’t recognize it at first really made me facepalm. It was mainly the new character design that threw me off and made me not realize what it is. That and the fact that I only ever knew the Japanese name for the series.

Anyway, I highly recommend people add this series to there watch list believe me it will be worth it….if adapted correctly.

Series Summary

Now that the war has ended, those Sacred Beasts must learn how to make their way in a peaceful society or face death at the hands of a Beast Hunter…

09. BEM

This anime is an interesting one. This series seems to be based on a classic kids anime that aired back in 1968 and it got another remake adaption in 2006. So this anime seems to have some history behind it. Though from the looks of the cover alone this new adaption seems to be mixing things up by giving the characters from the kids show a more modern and adult/mature look.

Not just that it seems the story its self will also be on the more mature side so basically this series shares the name and history of the classic 1968 series but looks nothing like the classic series. The focus is clearly a more mature tone now. Whether this will pay off or not making me very interested in this series Plus Production I.G, is working on this anime so you know if all else fails the animation will at least look really damn nice. So might be good to keep an eye on this anime.

Series Summary

Bem, Bela, and Belo are ugly humanoid youkai who fight for justice. They live among humans and protect them from evil youkai. The three find themselves ostracized from both humans and other youkai, but the three continue to fight in hopes of one-day becoming humans themselves. (Source: ANN)

10. Do You Love Your Mom and Her Two-Hit Multi-Target Attacks?

Why is this one even on this list even I wonder. Though I ain’t-a big fan of this one I really can’t deny it’s popularity(in Japan at least) this series made a big wave in Japan and there were so many fan art and people fangirling about this series.

I never really understood it but hey maybe I’ll understand it now. Since I’ll finally see what this series was about.  See what I’ve been missing out on. Maybe there is some kind of fun writing here with the whole traveling to another world with your mom. If it has a nice comedy something like KonoSuba I’d maybe end up enjoying this. Which is why I added it to the list. This is a risky recommendation but there is a small chance it might be a really fun anime. So keep a look out for this one. I know I will that’s for sure.

Series Summary

Just when Masato thought that a random survey conducted in school was over, he got involved in a secret Government scheme. As he was carried along with the flow, he ended up in a Game world! As if that wasn’t enough, shockingly, his mother was there as well! It was a little different from a typical transported to another world setting but after some bickering,

“Mom wants to go on an adventure together with Maa-kun. Can mom become Maa-kun’s companion?”

With that, Masato and Mamako began their adventure as a mother and son pair. They met Porta, a cute traveling merchant, and Wise, a regrettable philosopher. Along with their new party members, Masato, and co. start on their journey. (Source: MU)

11. Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san 2

The return of another really loved Slice of Life anime. I’m sure many people are looking forward to this one due to how popular the first season was. Just that fun teasing cute romance series we all need right now and probably the only one airing this season surprisingly enough. There is a huge lack of Slice of Life romance anime this season so hopefully, this series fills that void….I’m sure it will. Just go back sure you go watch the first season before you start this it’s a blast.

Series Summary

“If you blush, you lose.”
Living by this principle, the middle schooler Nishikata gets constantly made fun of by his seat neighbor Takagi-san. With his pride shattered to pieces, he vows to turn the tables and get back at her someday.
And so, he attempts to tease her day after day, only to find himself victim to Takagi-san’s ridicule again sooner than later. Will he be able to make Takagi-san blush from embarrassment even once in the end? (Source: MU)

  1. I’m half way through the summer season and started to run out of anime shows to watch. I was searching online and found this article… thank you for writing this. I read your suggestion about Fire Force and you’re actually the second blog I’ve read about this anime so I’m really curious now. I tried watching Dr. Stone but couldn’t get past episode 2, unfortunately it didn’t hold my interest. But, I’ll definitely take a look at your other suggestions.
