30. Catharsis
Genres: Fantasy, Psychological
This manhwa revolves around Leon Mori, one of the most relatable high school students who is bored with his life and school. The only person he interacts with is his middle school tutor, stand in the guardian, and now teacher, Ami. Obviously enough, he has a secret crush on her. Leon has synaesthesia to see sounds in colors, and there is this dream that keeps recurring. The fear creeps into his life, and even the difference between his dreams and reality is blurred. Soon Leon realizes that there might be more to this situation than what is in front of his eyes. He is drawn into the organization Catharsis, which helps ordinary people combat their demons, including their fears and insecurities.
A psychological manhwa with a relatable and realistic protagonist. He is likable because of his sensibility. He doesn’t drive into being heroic. The art style is great and unique. The author supports the tale with fine pacing and does take time to introduce new aspects of character development—an enjoyable read for anyone into horror and psychological genres.
29. Afterschool War Activities
Genres: Action, Mystery, Psychological, Supernatural
This manhwa is surprisingly unpopular. The plot is known yet pretty original. It is about how unknown things start coming to earth, and in this apocalypse, high school students have no choice but to fight for others’ safety. The writer Ha Il-Kwon is quite a talented artist, and all his works are likable and utterly unique in genres or plotting. The most prominent part of this manhwa is the character build-up. The story starts with the whole class going into the army with our protagonist Kim Chi-yeol. The characters thus are vivid and individualistic. The MC is also not a badass and all the more powerful or highly intelligent. The story is set on a realistic base, and so are the characters, including the protagonist. The whole plot dwells with loss, fear, relationships, and other such psychological aspects.
The ending was bittersweet and justified. A fairy tale ending wouldn’t have made any sense with this theme. The art style is well recognizable if you know of the author but individually you might find it comparatively simple and messy. In all this is an extremely good manhwa.
28. Tomb Raider King
Genres: Action, Adventure, Fantasy

This webtoon follows our real world where one day suddenly, tombs came into existence. 21st Aug. 2020 at 10:14 AM
If we’re talking about the top manhwa and I’m not seeing Solo leveling, TOG & GOH in the top 3 of the list, then I wouldn’t believe that the list is correct.

26th Sep. 2020 at 10:43 AM
its called your own opinion ya fuck
7th Jun. 2021 at 4:06 AM
yeah, like storywise solo leveling is kinda better than most, but not the best out there. I think that people who said that solo leveling is top, are actually the people who just jump on the bandwagon and read a few manhwa, but what can I say, its just my opinion 😛
10th Jul. 2020 at 0:22 AM
Yeah Solo leveling is the best manhwa I’ve read so far despite it been short. Pains me to that it’ll take a while for season 2 to be released
10th Jul. 2020 at 16:33 PM
If you get tired of waiting, you can just read the light novel. its very short only 270 chapters and since you’ve already read season 1 in manga, you can start reading the novel at around chapter 120. trust me it feels just as good reading the novel.
16th Aug. 2020 at 6:47 AM
Love solo leveling and yet LOOKISM is one of those epics that can’t be ignored. HALE Daniel Park and long live Lookism.
25th May. 2020 at 16:36 PM
Solo Leveling should be number 1. Both the manhwa and light novel is very good.
2nd Jun. 2020 at 3:23 AM

27th Aug. 2020 at 21:41 PM

As someone who got into manga/manwha’s literally 2 days ago exclusively because of this one series, I can completely understand why it gets so many views 🙂 I never thought I’d be into manga etc. because I don’t really enjoy reading, but my god.. that series is just too good, not just the story but the artstyle and everything! amazing series 10/10 from me.

Awesome list! got a lot of recommendations and also can see that the admins are active and professional. keep up the good work and take care!!
also, can you make the top Manhwa’s based on their ratings?
cause I find “Solo Leveling” better than “The Gamer”.
and guys, also check out HIVE and ReBirth.
11th Jan. 2020 at 14:03 PM
Thank you for the feedback it means a lot. We do not wish to just create a website, we also want to create a friendly community that can share its passion about different series. We will definitely consider adding ratings to the list. I have not checked out Hive yet and I’ll be sure to do so. Regarding ReBirth, you can see that we have added it to our best fantasy webtoons/manhwa list ( http://thebiem.com/fantasy-webtoons-manhwa/ )
