Winter 2020 Anime Worth Checking Out Guide

Dorohedoro

Dorohedoro Winter 2020 Anime

This a series I don’t want people to skip. But this anime also makes it hard to recommend it. Its 3d CGI is a real turn off I’ll have to admit, but if you can look past that alone the rest of this series is pretty god damn amazing. I adored the manga when it was ongoing, and this anime has given me an excellent reason to get excited about the series again. And I want anime-only fans to experience the wild ride that is this series it’s truly going to be something you’ll enjoy from start to finish if you give it a chance and forgive the 3DCGI you seriously won’t regret sticking with this. Honestly, I wish I could go more in-depth with this series, but that would be spoilers, and we wouldn’t want that would we?

Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!

Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken! Winter 2020 Anime

The Newest series from Masaaki Yuasa, A very well known and somewhat legendary director that has created some of the most amazing and unique looking anime of this generation. Though most will probably know him as the guy who made Devilman: Crybaby, this is his new series, and it perfectly captures his unique style many fans of his know and love.

Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken, from the get-go, starts so strong with its unique art style, fun characters, and probably one of the most catchy opinion songs of this season. This series started guns blazing and has been consistently good from the very first episode with never a dull moment. It’s a fun watching experience and something I oh so highly recommend. Honestly, as of right now, it’s probably the best original anime airing this season. So I seriously can’t recommend this series enough so watch it if you haven’t. It’s very much worth your time.

Series Summary

The producer-type Sayaka Kanamori is the first to notice Asakusa’s genius. Then, when it becomes clear that their classmate, charismatic fashion model Tsubame Mizusaki, really wants to be an animator, they create an animation club to realize the “ultimate world” that exists in their minds.

Somali and the Forest Spirit

Somali and the Forest Spirit Winter 2020 Anime

Do you want to die from cuteness? Well, you’ve come to the right place. This is that cute and adorable series you’ve been looking for, but there’s more to it than just the cuteness. Behind all the fluff, there is something sad building up in the background. A Journey of 2 that will pull on your heartstrings as things progress, you’ll end up getting something more than just the cute fluff. It’s a story worth following to the end, believe me. On top of that animation wise, this anime is just downright beautiful. In my opinion, it’s probably the most beautiful anime airing this season art-wise. If you haven’t checked this series out, Please do it’s something worth experiencing

Plunderer

Plunderer Winter 2020 Anime

Plunderer a series with a tragic fate, I believe. This series will be ignored and looked over its generic look doesn’t motivate anyone to try, and the Ecchi tag will probably make this an instant drop for many and I hate that. It makes me sad because people don’t know that behind the generic look of this series is something amazing story-wise. This series recently become one of my all-time favorite manga dew to the build-up of its story.

It was something that truly stuck with me and is also one of the few series as of late that made me feel so god damn sad, “Sad how” you might wonder I mean this doesn’t look like a series that will hit you in the feels. Oh, how wrong you are. What people don’t know about this series is it’s missing a damn Tradgy tag. While it does come somewhat late in the series, it is something that starts to appear more and more as the series progresses. This series finds a perfect balance of Comedy and Tragedy. It’s hard to explain how that works in this series without spoiling stuff. So I’m holding back all I can say is please continue this series people need to experience what this series becomes.

A Certain Scientific Railgun T

Railgun Winter 2020 Anime

Railgun baby who needs the main Index series when the side story following a different character is so much better. Only saying this because the main series right now is one massive dumpster fire. Which sucks since the Index novels are pretty high, so to see the main series get such a horrible adaption is truly sad. But Railgun will help you escape from the tragic and shocking main series adaptions. So watch this it’s worth your time. And heck watch it even if you didn’t watch the main series. These railgun adaptions can be viewed without knowing the source it’s based on, which is great, honestly. So watch it, people, there is no excuse not to.

Kuutei Dragons

Kuutei Dragons

This series suffers the same fate as Dorohedoro. Just like it, Kuutei Dragons is a hard recommendation not because it’s terrible but because again. It’s a fully 3DCGI anime, and many people will not love that. But to those who are okay with CGI anime. You in for a good time. This is, without a doubt, probably the most exciting anime this season solely for its world setting. It’s something breathtaking and truly interesting. Watching through the recent episodes, I got so invested and enjoyed it so much I can’t help but want to add this one to the list despite it being a full 3D series. But if you can get past the CGI alone just like Dorohedoro, This series is very much worth your time without a doubt.

Series Summary

It’s time to see what dragon tastes like. The crew of the airship Queen Zaza makes their living hunting dragons. Succeed, and the reward is riches and all the meat they can eat! Fail, and all that awaits them is a messy end. Follow the grand hunting and cooking adventure of the Queen Zaza as they chase dragons across the sky.

Sorcerous Stabber Orphen

Sorcerous Stabber Orphen Winter 2020 Anime

Sorcerous Stabber Orphen, for those who don’t know, is a remake of a classic anime of the same name, and this remake is just meant to be a more faithful adaption, I believe. I didn’t enjoy the first series, but I still do think it’s something worth checking out. Because the series its self is pretty fun to any new watchers, it honestly keeps you entertained.

The only real problem with it that has me worried that this will become horrible as time goes on. Is the fact that Studio Deen is animating this remake. Which is genuinely worrisome seeing as how they completed ruined the newest season of Seven Deadly Sins with its horrendous art and animation, I can only hope what happened to Seven Deadly Sins doesn’t happen to this series because this series has potential, which is why I’m recommending it.

Series Summary

Orphen is the greatest sorcerer that the tower has ever seen, but he is more interested in chasing the Bloody August, an infamous and very mysterious dragon. Along with his apprentice Majic and their companion Clio he heads off on a quest with the Sword of Baltanders, the only thing that can free the Bloody August or ‘Azile’ from the spell she is under. Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story

Magia Record

Another series I’m not feeling that excited about. But I know many would be interested in it. Mainly because it has the name Madoka Magica within it. That alone will get a lot of people’s attention and will probably be the main reason why most people will be checking it out. Other then this series having the name of a people series within it. I don’t know much about this series to be completely honest. And from watching the first few episodes, nothing about it stands out. But this is a series related to the Madoka Magica series in away. So it’s bound to have some crazy twists in its story. So it probably isn’t wise to judge this one from its first episodes alone.

Series Summary

A dream of an unknown girl beckons Iroha Tamaki to Kamihama City, a mysterious place where Magical Girls gather, and Witches of unimaginable strength proliferate. A new power drawn from evil Witches is on the rise. As the mysteries of Kamihama begin to come to light, Iroha is sure of one thing only: understanding the secrets of Kamihama is the key to unlocking the identity of the enigmatic — and inexplicably familiar — girl in her dreams. Nekopara

NekoparaWhat do you expect me to say here? You expect me to promote the series? Say wha it’s about? Explain it’s story and characters? Say stuff like, “Even if you hate ecchi, you should watch this because it’s good?” huh?. Nah man I don’t need to say anything I don’t need to promote or even explain what this series is about. Most people already know what this series is about, Most people know the themes and most people know it’s based on an Eroge. And even if you didn’t see any info about the series. Just looking at the cover, you’d know what you are getting your self into. This is either your dropped anime of the season. Or your Guilty pleasure anime of this season. That’s it, and there is no in-between. There is no deep story here, only the start of a new waifu war.  Have fun and enjoy(or hate) the ride.
