Suu Minazuki author of Heaven’s Lost Property current ongoing manga Plunderer serialized in Shonen Ace magazine, recently announced Plunderer will be receiving an anime adaptation. There was no official release date yet. But if it’s announced now I wouldn’t be surprised if the series air near the end of the year or the first quarter of 2019.
There is not much information about the anime just yet not even an anime visual poster, trailer or an announcement which studio is adapting the manga. Well, we got is a simple announcement about it getting an anime and that’s all. Seems we going to have to wait a while before getting any more information about this anime.
Check out our article on the new manga Crueler Than Dead, While we wait for more info about the anime Plunderer.
Plunderer Series Summary
It’s the year 305 of the Alcian calendar, The world is now entirely controlled by “numbers.” “Count’s” are branded for every human born. This Count can be anything; the number of kilometers walked, or the number of people who have said your food is tasty. You will go to the Abyss if your Count drops to 0. After Hina’s mother’s Count dropped to 0, her last request was for Hina to look for the Legendary Red Baron. (Source)
Thoughts on the series.
Hmm, I don’t really want to get into the story and characters. If I did I’d instantly be spoiling the series for new people. That is something I don’t want to do with this series. I want people to experience the full greatness of this manga by themselves
So as the heading says. I’ll just give my thoughts on how I feel and think about this series.
Simple Put in my opinion….this series is great probably one of my favorite manga I’ve read in awhile. The series has a good balance of interesting storytelling and mindless comedy. It’s like the author’s previous work “Heaven’s Lost Property”, which was a nice balance of storytelling, Ecchi, and tragedy. 3 things you wouldn’t think mix well but this author made it work.
It’s Simler yet so different
The only difference between Heaven’s Lost Property and Plunderer, Is that Plunderer focuses less on ecchi and more on trying to find the balance between Comedy, really well-drawn action scenes and a well-written story that constantly keeps you interested and asking questions. About the plot, it’s characters and the world/setting of the series. That’s not me saying ecchi is completely gone. It’s still there. Just not as much as his previous work. The author really can’t forget his perverted fun side even when he is telling a tragic tale. That’s what I like about this author
One minute you laughing your ass off because of the weird things the main character always seem to pull
The next moment you in a high-octane/action pack fight scene that is extremely well drawn and keeps you on the edge of your seat or just plain leaving you in awe
The series also throws in some really good tragic moments that really pulls on your heart-strings. For spoiler reasons, I won’t be posting an image of any tragic moments though. Need to keep this spoiler free I don’t want to spoil too much for newcomers to the series. I just want to let them know this is an amazing and worth checking out be it the manga or soon to be anime.
So it would be wise of you to keep an eye out for this series when it airs and it’s adapted correctly. You might be jumping into a damn amazing anime that you won’t forget.
I’m a total fan of Japan and Japanese culture. In fact, my wish is to go and live in Japan. At least for some short period of time to see how things really work there. Because, like every other country, Japan also has some good and some quite bad sides. But, in this article, we are going to focus only on…
