Spring 2019 Anime Worth Checking Out Guide

A new season is upon us so it’s that time again where we look at spring 2019 anime worth checking out guide. This new season is a somewhat strong season in a sense since there are some big name anime that people have been hyping up for years airing this season. The question really now is will it be worth the wait and will all that hype people have been expressing be worth it in the end. One series, in particular, has me worried and might end up being the most disappointing series of the season. You’ll know what I’m talking about in a sec. But anyway why don’t we get started with this seasons spring 2019 anime worth checking out. There is a lot to talk about here.

Spring 2019 Anime Worth Checking Out Guide

One Punch Man 2

We start out strong this season…..or are we? a series that needs no introduction nor a summary because I’m pretty sure everybody knows or at least heard of this series. One Punch Man Season 2 is airing this season. It is without a doubt the most looked forward to series this season. The hype for it is real…or is it?

Well just like most people who watched the first season I was really hyped for this second season and as I read the manga and saw how god damn fun it got. I really got excited to see how they would animate all of these new scenes from the manga. Thinking it would be on the same level as season 1. But boy was I wrong and boy did my excitement vanish when I heard Madhouse won’t be animating it anymore and J.C staff is taking over production of the series.

But hey maybe I was judging it too early

Maybe I should not lose hope so fast and at least have some faith in the series maybe J.C staff would do it justice and animate it to be one the same level as the first season. That’s the mindset I wish I could keep. But after seeing that new trailer and how average the animation was and how it just didn’t look right. I just lost complete faith once again. Now I embrace how meh it looks and that actually makes me excited about it because what we witnessing here might end up being one of the biggest disappointments of the year and I am truly excited to see peoples reactions to it.

On the bright side We still at least have Bones studio giving us the amazing adaption oh Mob Psycho 100. Well, best move on the next anime. Sorry about the rambling I did here haha.

Bungo Stray Dogs 3

Bungo Stray Dogs 3 another series that probably needs no introduction and I honestly don’t have much to say about it I’m excited about it and there is no doubt in my mind that it will be a good adaption because I mean it’s bones studio so far they haven’t really let us down with shitty adaptions as of late.

I would drop down a summary of this new season but that would be full of spoilers so let’s not do that. I’ll just say if you haven’t watched this series yet go and watch it. It’s worth your time and with this third season airing now it’s the perfect time to jump on and watch this series. You’ll have a lot of content to go through including a movie making it a fun series to marathon right now.

Spring 2019 Anime Worth Checking Out Guide – Attack on Titan 3 part 2

Attack on Titan 3 Part 2

Attack on Titan 3 Part 2 or is it Attack on Titan 3,5 or maybe Attack on Titan season 4? I really don’t know at this point don’t know why they decided to title it like this but anyway it’s more Attack on Titan another series that needs no introduction.

This is it…this is IT this is the season all anime-only viewers have been waiting for all the unanswered questions regarding the story which have been there since the very first season and many other things regarding the world of Attack on Titan will be answered in this season. The long wait is finally over so get excited this will be a memorable season….if adapted correctly of course…then again this is Wit Studio so there’s no doubt it will be adapted well.

I would drop a summary for this new season but again it’s one of those cases where the Summary will have spoilers and that isn’t something I want especially for this season of Attack On Titan. Anime only people need to go in blind.

Spring 2019 Anime Worth Checking Out Guide

Kimetsu no Yaiba

One of the current top new generation shounen jump series. We finally reached that point where every new generation shounen jump series has gotten an anime. With Dr.Stone getting it’s anime next season. Black Clover, Boku No Hero. Dr.Stone and this then I guess you can say new big 4 instead of big 3 that has taken over the spots of Bleach and Naruto have finally gotten their anime. Just hope these anime are able to deliver some good stuff. Then again Kimetsu no Yaiba is a pretty great manga worth everyone’s time. And the fact that Ufotable of all studios are adapting it so you know even if this is a bad adaption the animation in this will be damn amazing. So that’s something to look forward to.

Fruits Basket (2019)

Fruits Basket a popular series from 2001 getting a re-adaption. These kinds of things happen rarely where older series get a new adaption. Only ever happens to popular stuff. Anyway, I’m actually happily looking forward to this because I know I loved the Original anime never really got into the manga. So it’s been years since I’ve seen anything related to this series and pretty much forgot the plot. This is also a pretty great starting point for new people to the series. So I highly recommend people check it out. It’s a good series.

We Never Learn

Barely know anything related to this series, in all honesty, all I really know is the fact that this series started a waifu war in manga comment sections. So this will probably be the waifu anime of the season. Also heard the story is pretty fun but I mean who cares about that right? it’s the waifu’s we care about only. Jokes aside this does look like it will be the chill and fun watch anime for this season. Probably won’t be amazing but it will be good enough to because really popular I can see that happening and honestly wouldn’t mind it.

Series Summary

Yuiga is a student who is aiming for a scholarship because he comes from a poor family. His school gives him a condition: he can have a recommendation for a scholarship if he tutors his two beautiful classmates to help them get into the schools of their choice.

Ogata may be a science genius and Furuhashi a literature prodigy — but Ogata is aiming for a liberal arts school and Furuhashi is aiming for a science school. And they’re both clueless outside their fields of expertise. (Source:ANN)

Chihayafuru 3

This series is kind of like Spice and wolf. I don’t mean story wise but in a sense that people have been begging for a season 3 and it just never came out. Until now 6 god damn years later they finally decided to bring the series back and give us the season 3 we’ve been crying for. Well, what other fans have been crying for. I’m still crying here for a Spice and Wolf season 3. Wish that series got as lucky as this one.

Moving on though I’m actually happy this is getting a 3rd season only sad thing tho is the fact I don’t remember anything from season 2 it’s been so long. I do know and can confirm to those who haven’t seen in despite the sport this series covers it’s actually a damn good series worth your time so I’d recommend starting from season 1 and catching up the series is worth your time. There’s a reason why people have been asking for a season 3 for this long

Series Summary

With her teammates and friends supporting her, Chihaya strives to become the best karuta player in the world and to one day be with Arata again.

Carole & Tuesday

Probably my most hyped series this season. I’m probably alone on this one but I mean it is studio Bones making this and the visuals from the trailers and Art and Music that have been shown for this series just seems like something I’ll adore everything about it so far has made me damn hyped for this. So far studio bones have not let me down with there anime adaptions so I’m going in with high hopes on this series. It’s worth checking out I say. But I can also understand why the music-themed stuff might not be for everyone. Still, though keep an eye on this series.

Fairy Gone

This is an interesting one feel like it might or might not be the hidden gem of this season. Since not many are talking about it which somewhat makes sense it is an anime original series. anyway, there’s not much I can say here since I barely know anything about this series. So I’ll just hope it’s something good in the end. This series better do something big to get peoples attention because it is airing next to some big name heavy hitter anime this season so it will easily get over showered if it doesn’t do something big in the first episode to grab peoples attention.

Series Summary

Fairies possess and reside within animals, granting them special powers. By surgically removing and transplanting the organs of a possessed animal into a human, humans can partially summon the fairy and use it as a weapon. Eventually, such individuals were used for war, and were called “Fairy Soldiers.” After a long war, these soldiers lost their purpose and had to reintegrate into society.

Nine years after the end of the war, Maria is a fresh recruit of “Dorothea,” an organization dedicated to the investigation and suppression of fairy-related crimes and incidents. Even in peacetime, the government is still unstable after the war. Many criminals still have lingering wounds from the previous conflict, and there are terrorist groups bent on revenge.

Ace of Diamond Act II

Ace of Diamond Act II a series just like the ones I mentioned at the start that also doesn’t really need an introduction mainly in the sports anime scene anyway. Is another one of those series I’m extremely excited for since I’ve been following this series and its manga for a really long time.

While the hype for it maybe not be extreme it’s still a series many looks forward to since it’s been a while since the last season ended. There is so much to look forward to in this new season getting to see all your favorite characters again.

Honestly, if you someone who loves sports anime and haven’t seen this great series then what are you doing? Go watch it now there is more than enough episodes to keep you busy and once you reach it ends your excitement for this new season will be really high.

Spring 2019 Anime Worth Checking Out Guide

Mix

This is something I’m personally interested in. Which is why I’m adding it to the list of stuff worth checking out. I know we have Ace of Diamond Act II airing this season so all of the attention will go to that sports anime. But I still think this one might end up being worth watching simply story-wise at least since this author really knows how to tell a gripping story involving sports some of my favorite sports manga comes from this author. Which is why I have high hopes for this series and would also like people to check it out.

I also do find it interesting how the story takes place 26 years in the future in the same setting as Touch which was another series I adored. Feels like I’ll be going back to a place I haven’t visited in a long time and will end up feeling very nostalgic. I kind of like that. Makes me really look forward to this.

Series Summary

The story takes place in the same Meisei Gakuen high school as Touch, only it is set 26 years later. Like Touch, Mix revolves around brothers and baseball as the main theme.

Hitoribocchi no Marumaru Seikatsu

I find it kind of sad as to how much I relate to the main girl from this series just by reading the summary. The only difference between us is that I ain’t cute like her truly sad. Anyway like the summary alone makes me depressed this does seem like it will be a cute little series. Probably the series I’d say you watch after watching all the action pack stuff airing this season. It’s just the side chill anime. Which is why I think it’s worth watching we need to add some stuff that isn’t a heavy story focused.

Series Summary

Hitori Bocchi suffers from extreme social anxiety, she’s not good at talking to people, takes pretty extreme actions, is surprisingly adept at avoiding people, her legs cramp when she overexerts herself, gets full of herself when alone, will vomit when exposed to extreme tension and often comes up with plans. Now she is entering middle school and her only friend, Yawara Kai, is attending a different school. This leaves Bocchi alone, surrounded by new classmates with whom she must make friends before Kai will talk to her again. (Source: Dynasty Scans)

Spring 2019 Anime Worth Checking Out Guide

Sarazanmai

From the mind that brought you the anime series Mawaru Penguindrum, Revolutionary Girl Utena and Yuri Kuma Arashi. You know this series is going to be weird as fuck. Not weird in a bad way but weird in a good way. Kunihiko Ikuhara always tells these visually great stories that honestly always look weird and silly and stupid as hell but between the weirdness hides a good story and symbolism that really makes you go back and figure out the meaning on scenes that seemed weird at first but is actually something deep….most of the time.

There are times when scenes are just weird to be weird but it’s fun silly at first but always picks up in the end to become a great story which is why I can’t wait to see what this series might become. I don’t think this series will be for everyone but I’d still highly recommend people check it out

Series Summary

One day, three second-year middle school students — Kazuki Yasaka, Toi Kuji, and Enta Jinai — meet a kappa-like creature named Keppi, who is the self-proclaimed heir to the throne of Kappa Kingdom. Keppi forcibly takes the students’ shirikodama (a mythical organ kappa steal through a person’s anus) and they are transformed into kappa. Keppi informs them, “If you want to return to your former selves, you need to connect in ‘that way’ and you must bring me the shirikodama of zombies.” At the same time, two policemen, Reo Niiboshi and Mabu Akutsu, try to do something at the police box where they are stationed.

And that wraps up this seasons Spring 2019 Anime Worth Checking Out.

Hopefully, the list will be useful to some maybe or maybe you already watching everything on this list. Or hey maybe there is a series I didn’t mention.
