Sheep, Sheepdog, Wolf

Sheep, Wolves And Sheepdogs

Yahallo! Whenever a situation arises where you have to take risks, and and deal with it, how many of us are willing really? How many of us are the sheep of this world?

This thought crossed my mind the other day and somehow it lead me to the topic of sheep and wolves 🙂 No xD Its a analogy of sorts to describe the cowardly and the brave, depending on the situation, and the factors involved in that situation.

Sheep, Sheepdogs And Wolves Theory

Sheep and Dog – Lynn Chen

Lets take the example : A car driver runs a guy over with his car. The car driver runs away. Out of the remaining 10 bystanders, only one extends a helping hand to the victim.

So who is the sheep, the sheepdog and the wolf here?

Sheep

Sheep – Lynn Chen

Most people are sheep. This is simply referring to the fact that most human beings are normal, and prefer living their lives normally without disruption. The question of rising above good vs evil constantly conflicts them. For the most part in life, people deal with challenges that are more of an annoyance and when faced with such problems, they generally try to follow the leader in such situations.

Its not that they are not kind or nice, it is just that such situations tend to be a disruption in their usual day to day lives and thus they don’t know how to deal with it. Like sheep in a herd, happy to live a peaceful life, grazing in the meadows, content with living in their daily routine. Any disruptions cause them to create stress. And just like sheep depend on sheepdogs, most people depend on somebody else to protect and take care of them. They keep this world around them going smoothly without trouble. Be it a commoner, some higher authority or even a sheepdog.

Wolves

The bad guys, they are sociopaths who express themselves violently or commit crimes and disobey moral and ethical values of life, creating danger in the life of the peaceful sheep. They take advantage of their peace and ignorance and strike at them, when they get the chance. About 1% of the population is stated to be a wolf, by sources.

Sheepdogs

Society’s protectors. Livestock guardian dogs, on the other hand, live with their flock of animals full-time, blending in with them and only becoming noticeable when the job of protecting the livestock comes into need.

The role of human “sheepdogs” is exactly equivalent to their animal form. Like actual Sheepdogs, they live among the flock, like one of them, and yet are different and set apart. They protect the sheep and watch for evil “wolves.” Their mere presence can keep the wolves at bay, but if they do attack, human sheepdogs are alert and ready to be aggressive. They are prepared to make a stand against those who would harm innocent people, but otherwise, they are gentle and trustworthy ( just like dogs! ).

For example : We find the government at fault at all the other times, we grumble and degrade their jobs ( well, most of us ) but when in the actual time of danger, it is them who provide us with help, support and protection. It is then that we show our gratitude towards them.

Again, they make about 1% of the total population on earth.

  8. Ummm i remember this was posted before but since it’s raven i must say I should be on topic for real.

    1. What role do you play in the society/internet?
    Sheepdog
I rather be in between. I dont wanna be a sheep which composed of the majority here on disqus, they need to be guided and follow the rules or their existence might be put in 50/50 case. I dont wanna be a wolf, those edgy bullies who do things just to suck something from people and when theyre not looking wolf either bites their back or eat em real.

    2. Do you agree with this theory? Whats your analysis on it?
Yes same as my and #1

    3. If this current balance of sheep, sheepdogs and wolves tipped, would it be good or bad, according to you?
Maybe but not unless a wolf wont be synonynous to being a traitor. Its like youre keeping an enemy .

    4. What role do you want to play in the society/internet? Same #1

  9. 4) What role do you want to play in the society/internet?
Dunno, man. I’m just a weeb on the interwebs.

  10. 1. What role do you play in the society/internet?

    I would say the sheepdog.

    2. Do you agree with this theory? Whats your analysis on it?

Yeah well it is somewhat right,we here manage to be good and evil due to simple desire, nothing can be blamed for it except influences and wanting to change our inner selfs.
We will keep being good and evil, that is the truth.

    3. If this current balance of sheep, sheepdogs and wolves tipped, would it be good or bad, according to you?

Bad honestly, more like,Its a balanced that cant really be fixed.
I believe if people fall into bad side,it will increase a hell lot, but, not with good side,I believe that people born into this world have the desire to find things out alot, even if it means tormenting them.
So with that said,Its good to keep a balance you woud say?
No I think one should always be kind.
    Why?
Why not,if you hurt someone you only gain self satisfaction, but, with kindness you gain self satisfaction and the smile of other.
    Treasure it.

    4. What role do you want to play in the society/internet?

Sheepdog for the most part, but,I lack experience to do so,So I try to gather knowledge to try and guide people while having fun myself I guess.
Oh well, just another joy of life.

    Good article Raven tho.

          1. wrong asf.
being a wolf has nothing to do with greed. wolves dont hunt sheeps cause of greed, they do cause sheeps are they natural prey, they hunt sheeps to eat. you wont see wolves killing 10 sheeps just to eat one.
Also, for the sake of argument, let’s say greed is indeed a factor here, reality is that greed is the best motivational factor is existence. greed is falsely portrayed as negative in morals, but without greed, one can not reach true heights. Greed is never a downfall. only, “losing yourself in extreme greed” is, but that’s a totally different. too much of anything is bad and that’s not limited to just greed

          2. You can control greed, they mostly sometimes cant even control themselfes.
But I just dont see how catching their natural prays for living can be fun whatsoever.
            Thats where this concept applies.
We humans also eat food everyday, similar right?
We pay for our bread and meat and what more,in the end we are all similar.
I just wish we didnt had to resort to this, but,it is not us who control this cycle of keeping a human body from starving, well we do tbh, just not as a whole

          3. it’s simply natural law. there’s nothing “evil” about it.
keep in mind, sheepdogs are carnivorous too and their foods still comes from sheeps. in the farm, they kill sheeps for meat and the sheepdogs eats part of them. they are still eating sheeps, just in a different way

          4. Nature controls the most in human.
We are somewhat overpowered in this, the fact that we gain so much from nature itself and have the ability to think is amazing.
We humans couldnt ask for more

  11. Interesting article.

    1. What role do you play in the society/internet?
Depending on situations, but mostly the sheep.

    2. Do you agree with this theory? Whats your analysis on it?
    It’s logical.

    3. If this current balance of sheep, sheepdogs and wolves tipped, would it be good or bad, according to you?
Yo. I don’t really understand this question. Someone elaborate on this please. Lol.

    4. What role do you want to play in the society/internet?
    This society needs more sheepdog.

      1. Lets imagine you have to steal something for you sick children, doesnt that serve as an example.
You might have to kill people due to it,but, for a greater good

        1. How is that “greater good” when it only benefits your children? That, is evil, yes, but not for “the greater good”.

          1. “The greater good” refers to an action that will benefit a community or the entire human race. If you’re doing evil for the sake of yourself, that is considered selfish. Don’t mix up the two, because these two are entirely different.

  12. 1. What role do you play in the society/internet?
    Sheeps
    2. Do you agree with this theory? Whats your analysis on it?
    Hmm yeah
    3. If this current balance of sheep, sheepdogs and wolves tipped, would it be good or bad, according to you?
    Good I think
    4. What role do you want to play in the society/internet?
Just by being a sheep would get me satisfied, being a sheepdog would be much more cooler

  13. Most the bystanders are sheepdogs, with the except of the person who help the sheep, the wolf is the nigga that ran away

  14. If you cant stay on topic just at least be creative and think on how u can add/insert the three animals In ur sentence. And apply an analogy into it.
The sheeps and sheepdogs are actually getting along but sheeps are just too pussy and coward; i just wonder are wolves afraid of sheepdogs cause why cant they attack one on one even sheepdogs are there ?

    1. Cat, wolf, sheep dog, are all features of the same entity and portray roles in an internal power struggle
      there was a cat right?

  15. 1.I refrain from becoming a sheep even tho I sometimes act like one but when I realized I will be a sheep if I do this then I refrain from that action

  16. I gotta say tho.
Being wolve can be great sure, but,in the end you will feel nothing except glory and honor.
Not a bad way of life, just not good in this day of age.
For example in the edo era, being a wolf wasnt bad.

      1. A smile on my face,it doesnt have do to with honor and glory necessarily, just living a happy and peacefull life is enough for some ppl

        1. that’s minimalistic ideals.
you said “in the end all the they get is”, as if it’s not enough. glory and honor can put smile on face, and you can still be happy despite having em

          1. Im blaming my nature on this, but,I cant be happy with glory whatsoever, maybe due to past experiences but the feeling is always temporary for me.
            Not eternal.

  17. In our society like what the topic already explained, this is really happening, sad tobsay but yeah. But ever wonder who represents the wolf in our society? Those people who are in position that still are hoping to get a higher ranks, and whilst a good leader(sheepdog) trying to protect his people (the sheeps) these sucker for authority/position are slowly getting everything in the form of corruption, and bribery.

  18. Existence of Sheeps , Wolves and Sheepdogs is basically part of this world and yeah I think their existence at the same time is necessary.

          1. Will shave them off but for the last step. Ill use hot wax on ur head. Shit sounds so kinky. Id delete this asap. Bahahaha

  19. 1. What role do you play in the society/internet?
    – The owner of the sheepdog. Mhhm~

    2. Do you agree with this theory? Whats your analysis on it?
    – I don’t cause the society is complex and representing it on such simple principle is just like letting the children watch disney movies. (i do like them tho ‘3 ‘)) but my point is, there are more roles in the society other than these 😮

    3. If this current balance of sheep, sheepdogs and wolves tipped, would it be good or bad, according to you?
    – I have nothing to input in this matter. I abstain.

    4. What role do you want to play in the society/internet?
    – The bird who just spectate.

  20. Why even black sheep ever used in a negative way, well ive seen a black goat but never a black lamb nor a black sheep irl. So could be a little spice of sarcasm maybe why they made such a term.

      1. You can recognise me ??? Been on here dbm for awhile. I left the outside world the world of fools.. Lmao. Was gonna read ur article at gto site abt the full metal one… But saw u responded here. Lmao

        1. You have a very distinguished essence.. Idk how to describe it. I’m glad you are still around! I started posting at new places because of toxicity as well bums me out. My heart doesn’t understand that “it’s only the internet” lol! wussy heart

          1. Hahaha. Its really scary out there. Theyre getting into my nerves already. Even if you can still contain the toxicity they do to make their channels alive, create some dramas and all. Still u cant avoid to just give up and move on. 🙁

  21. 1. What role do you play in the society/internet?
    Sheep.
    2. Do you agree with this theory? Whats your analysis on it?
I think you need to put some more characters in this.
    3. If this current balance of sheep, sheepdogs and wolves tipped, would it be good or bad, according to you?
It will be awesome not just good.
    4. What role do you want to play in the society/internet?
    The Sheepdogs.
