The official website for Overlord Season 3 Anime (Overlord III) began streaming a new promotional video earlier today. The TV anime is based on Kugane Maruyama’s Overlord novel series with illustrations from so-bin. According to the previous announcement, the anime will air on 10th July, 2018.
Naoyuki Itō is serving as the director for the series and the features animation is by MADHOUSE. Additionally, two new cast members, Takahiro Sakurai as Gilkunif and Takaya Hashi as Fulder will be joining the anime for this season.
The new trailer highlights the standoff between the knight Gazef Stronoff and the titular overlord, Ainz Ooal Gown.

The novels and anime’s story takes place in the year 2138 when virtual reality gaming is booming. Yggdrasil, a popular online game, quietly begins to shut down one day. However, the protagonist Momonga decides to not log out. Momonga is then transformed into the image of a skeleton as “the most powerful wizard.” The world continues to change, with non-player characters (NPCs) beginning to feel emotion. Having no parents, friends, or place in society, this ordinary young man Momonga then strives to take over the new world the game has become.
Enterbrain (a division of Kadokawa) is the publisher for the original Overlord novels in Japan. Yen Press is bring out the english language version of the series. The first two seasons of the Overlord TV anime are currently streaming on Crunchyroll and Funimation.
