Last year, Capcom debuted a trailer for their newest project – Mega Man 11. The long-awaited return of the series has been met with wide critical acclaim. This year, Capcom is gearing up all of their fans – old and new – with releases of all the major Mega Man titles. Originally released on other consoles, Mega Man Legacy 1 + Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 recently came out for Nintendo Switch. In addition to Mega Man 1-10 and the features included in the past release, Capcom also included special amiibo challenges. Utilizing the Mega Man amiibo, this allowed players to access special challenges exclusive to the Nintendo Switch version. Capcom has now released the latest Mega Man 11 trailer, as well as a new Mega Man amiibo.
Mega Man 11 – Pre-order Trailer
The trailer starts with the nefarious Dr. Wily coming up with a new scheme to thwart his rival, Dr. Light. Following that, the beautiful visuals showcase Mega Man in his HD debut on consoles. Featuring the classic 2D gameplay players know and love, it includes the return of Mega Man’s slide and charge shot abilities. These abilities were absent from the latest releases, Mega Man 9 and Mega Man 10.
As opposed to simply backtracking to the past for success, Capcom has chosen to move forward with the series. Featuring fan-favorite characters, like Dr. Light, Roll, Rush, Beat, and more, you can also purchase upgrades from the shop to boost Mega Man’s power! Finally, the game’s crisp, clear animations are accompanied by Mega Man’s new abilities – the Double Gear system.
