The official website for the Made in Abyss Compilation Movies posted a teaser visual earlier today. Visual shows the appearance of Riko and Regu looking from the top of a cliff.
The two compilation films coming this winter will be summarising the events of the anime. Made in Abyss: Tabidachi no Yoake(Journey’s Dawn) is the first film and Made in Abyss: Hōrō Suru Tasogare (Wandering Twilight) is the second film. Also, a sequel to the series is in the making. Season one of the 13-episode anime series aired in 2017. The anime is an adaptation of Akihito Tsukushi’s manga of the same name.
Made in Abyss – Synopsis
The Abyss is an enormous pit and cave system and the only remaining unexplored place in the world. It houses precious relics as well as strange creatures. Furthermore, divers or ‘cave raiders’ are brave individuals who have made it their mission to unravel this mysterious cave. The bravest of them all, the White Whistles made a name for themselves by fearlessly descending into the darkest realms and have come to be regarded as legendary.
Rico, an orphan girl lives in a town around the edge if the Abyss. Just like her mother, a member of the White Whistle, she aspires to explore the Abyss. A chance encounter helps her meet a robot who resembles an ordinary human boy and she names him Reg. Consequently, both of them decide to venture forth together.
