The official website for Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump earlier today made an exciting announcement. It conforms that Bleach manga author Tite Kubo’s newly drawn one-shot love comedy manga will release on July 14. Love Comedy BURN THE WITCH will something Bleach fans can look forward to.
The title of the manga is BURN THE WITCH and the magazine’s 33rd issue will be carrying it. The serialization of Bleach manga in the magazine came to an end in August 2016.
BURN THE WITCH manga will be of 62 pages in length. So, one can easily note that this is unusually long for a one-shot story. No wonder the author said that it is the same amount of work as the first chapter of a new serialization work. As of today nothing about the plot is known to us. The official website offers three keywords: “Witch,” “Dragon,” and “Reverse London.”
Finally, one needs to know that Shonen Jump weekly manga magazine is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. The release of BURN THE WITCH manga is a part of its anniversary project.

Moreover, the author is also working on a two-volume set of Bleach manga’s illustration collection book titled “JET.” It will release on December 4, 2018. Kuma made a news piece on this announcemnt, check it here: Bleach Receives Massive 500 Page Manga Illustration Book.
All this kind of points out that the author is in good shape to start a new manga. We can hope for him to start one before he finally retires. Previously, the author said that he is enjoying the time off now while recovering. It is also interesting to note that the art for the one-shot series is similart to that of Bleach. I think this aspect is very common for manga artists. For them, coming up with a distinct art style takes a lot of years and it stick with them for a life time.
Do let us know in the comments if you look forward to this one-shot manga.
