After the Rain/Koi wa Ameagari no You ni – Synopsis

Akira Tachibana is 17-year-old high school student. She is soft-spoken and likes to keep to herself. Due to an injury, she opts out of the track and field club. On a rainy day, she has a fateful encounter with the manager of a family restaurant. Soon she starts to work at that restaurant and finds herself inexplicably in love with him.

The manager, Masami, is a divorced, 45-year-old man with a young son. He is kind, apologetic and seen as spinless by his employees. Despite the age gap and his mannerisms, Akira finds herself falling in love with him. Although she is unable to explain her love for him, Akira believes that a concrete reason is not needed to truly love someone. On a rainy day, she finally decides to express her love to the manager. How is he going to respond to her feeling?

Also, the manga has already got a 12-episode television anime adaptation on January 11. Additionally, the show is exclusively on Amazon Prime Video with the English title After the Rain.
