Welcome people to the Fall 2018 Anime Sequels Guide. I’m sure you’ve noticed on the site a Fall 2018 Anime Guide. Has already been posted on this site. So why not put this list with that guide? Well, the answer is fairly simple. They are so many god damn sequels airing in this new season of anime. It only made sense to me to give all the series airing this season its own guide. This is a fairly rare thing where so many sequels air in one season. So I got to take the opportunity to make a guide about it because of something like this. Might not happen again in other future seasons. So then how about we get started with this list.

Oh and let me not forget to mention this is somewhat of a joint article between me and Hen. So do not forget to go and check out that Fall 2018 Anime Guide he posted. If you looking for a new anime to watch which is not a sequel. Now then once again let’s get started with this new anime seasons.

Fall 2018 Anime Sequels Guide

Of course, something to take note off. I’ll be voicing my opinion on these anime some bad some good just know it’s my opinion on things if you don’t agree with it that’s completely fine heck you could express ho wrong I am in the comment section if you must. Also, this list has no particular order. So it isn’t from best to worse or worse to best and what not. It’s completely random. So no need to worry if you see a sequel you looking forward to at the bottom of the list.

1. Sword Art Online: Alicization

Starting out with the Obvious one. Sword Art Online Season 3 do I even need to summarise or say anything about the series? I’m pretty sure everybody and their mothers know about this series. The series you either love passionately or Hate passionately. There is no middle option for this series. Well, I say that but I’m pretty neutral with it. I do not like Sword Art Online at all there are so many problems with it and it is so horrible I could go into detail about everything wrong with this series. But I do understand why people like the series.

So I would not hate the people who love this anime. Honestly, I’m happy for the people who love this anime. They will be getting a new season of there favorite thing. And to make news even better for them It was announced the series will be a 4-cour series. So you’ll be getting 40+ episodes of this series ain’t that nice. So SAO fans can be happy but with that happiness, hate will without a doubt follow. Well anyway, even tho I hate this series I’ll still be watching this. Because I’ve heard this arc of the story is actually good. I wonder how true that is. It’s something to look forward to. For both Haters and Lovers of the anime.

2. Toaru Majutsu no Index III

A Certain Magical Index Season 3. Now, this one right here is something I didn’t think would happen. An anime I’m personally looking forward to.  It has been 7 years since season 2 came out and it was never clear if the series would get a sequel. The wait for it was long hard and uncertain. But finally, that patience paid off. The long wait is over and we finally get a new season. While I personally prefer the Railgun spin-off anime to the main series I am still super happy to see some characters I really like on screen again. Now then since it’s been so long since the last season aired while don’t we get a summary of the series to jog peoples memories who might have forgotten what this series is about.

Summary

Kamijou Touma is a student living in Academy City, a highly advanced place in terms of technology. Despite being gauged as a level zero esper (no powers), he possesses on his right hand the Imagine Breaker, an ability that negates any power whatsoever. Touma finds a young girl named Index who is trying to run away from Necessarius, a powerful magic organization that she is a member of. Blessed with the skill of memorizing any sort of information, she holds 103,000 forbidden magical books within her head. As science and magic cross paths, Touma must face several dangers amid espers and magicians who appear in the exciting scientific town.

Now that we finish with the summary.  You have to wonder if this series is even as popular as it use to be back in 2010. Most people by now pretty much forgot its story. So I’m curious to see if people will like this despite maybe forgetting what happened in its previous season. Something to look forward to for sure.

3. Tokyo Ghoul:re Season 2

Tokyo Ghoul:re Season 2 … what do I even need to say here. Can’t say much honestly dropped the series since i well hate all the anime adaptions for it so I pretty much have nothing to say about this. Fans of the anime will be happy though. This might be the final season of Tokyo Ghoul period. Though I have no real idea where the first season stopped in the manga. I’m pretty sure this final season will be adapting the final arcs in the Tokyo Ghoul:re. How they going to fit like 100 chapters in 12 or 13 episodes you ask. Well, the obvious answer is, The series will be rushed to no end.

It’s been made clear that the studio making this doesn’t care much for the source material and will adapt the series however they want. As long as anime only viewers continue to eat up the rushed content even when the story doesn’t make sense because of it. Anime only’s will love it which gives the studio making the series, no reason to fix the series and continue to rush it. How fun well anyway if you a fan of TG anime series this is something to look forward to.

4. Fairy Tail (2018)

Fairy Tail…oh Fairy Tail…for sure another sequel many people are looking forward to. Sadly I am not one of them. I have a strong and powerful burning passion of hate for this series. Which is sad considering I grew up with Fairy Tail. I loved this series so much when it started. The world and characters they were all so lovable. So it hurts my soul knowing how horrible it becomes in later arcs. A shadow of its lovable self at the start.

Anyway, The series will be adapting the final arc in the manga so this will be the end of the series. It’s final season. I am honestly curious how fans/anime only people will react to this final arc. As someone, we read the manga and knows how it ends. I can say this final arc is horrible.

But it has a couple of good stuff in it, for example, a character called Brandish will be introduced in this final arc. Despite me hating everything about the final arc. She was the one thing I really liked personality and Design wise. So I’ll probably be watching the anime till her parts see how the anime adapts her moments then drop the series after that. Then only go back to the series when the arc ends just to see peoples reactions on how stupid it is. That should be fun. Of course, it should be stated thinking the final arc is stupid is my own opinion. If you end up loving it good for you there is nothing wrong with that.

5. JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 5: Golden Wind

JoJo Fridays it back boys. The final for Part 5 is finally over. Safe to say JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 5: Golden Wind. Was probably one of my most anticipated anime of 2018 when it was announced. So I am bursting with excitement for this adaption. Let’s get a quick summary for anime-only viewers so they can read what this Part might be about.

Summary

Naples, 2001. Giorno Giovanna is a small-time crook with one big dream—to become a “Gang-Star.” No ordinary thief, Giorno has a connection to the remarkable Joestar bloodline and possesses a Stand named Gold Experience. His dream starts to become reality when he meets Bruno Buccellati, a mobster from the gang Passione and a fellow Stand user himself. Realizing that they share similar ideals, and both disagree with the gang’s harmful affairs, Giorno reveals his goal to Bruno: with Bruno’s help, he will reform Passione by overthrowing the boss.

As Giorno becomes a member of Passione and is inducted into Bruno’s squad, he discovers that it is no simple gang; its numbers are teeming with Stand users. Now confronted by other squads of differing loyalties and unpredictable caliber, their goal to change the gang from the inside out will be a tough one. Taking on these adversaries, Giorno attempts to rise through the ranks and inch closer to the boss, a man who is shrouded in mystery.(Source. MAL)

I have already read this part in the manga since I’m pretty much up to date with the JoJo Should be stated tho by the time I was writing this article the first episode of JoJo part 5 just came out. Was honestly tempted to just write a short review about it since the first episode was there. But held back since well this ain’t a review article. Anyway, Part 5 is where all my excitement is at and I bet it’s the same for many JoJo fans. Some people do say JoJo Part 5 is the weakest part. And they wouldn’t be wrong in that statement. Still, that doesn’t change the fact that this part will be a blast to watch.

6. Golden Kamuy 2nd Season

Golden Kamuy 2nd Season one of those anime I really enjoyed when the first season aired. For sure something many people are also looking forward to. Despite its rough start and CGI bear controversy, man watchers were complaining about. The series its self still ended up being damn nice. Now then before i say more why don’t we get the summary for this series for those who maybe haven’t seen the first season yet.

In Hokkaido, the far northern lands of Japan, Sugimoto survived the Russo-Japanese war of the Meiji era. Nicknamed “Sugimoto the Immortal” during the war, he now seeks the riches promised by the gold rush in hopes of saving the widowed wife of his now deceased comrade from the war. During his hunt of gold, he finds hints of a hidden stash of gold by corrupt criminals. Partnering with an Ainu girl that saves his life from the harsh climates of the north, they venture into a survival adventure to race against the criminals that seek the hidden stash.(Source:Manga Updates)

Now then on another note, it got me thinking about the CGI bear from the first season that got everybody’s Knickers in a twist. Many people ended up dropping the series because of that. Which in all honestly I found very stupid. How are you going to have one scene with one CGI bear ruin the whole anime for you even though the rest of the story is good? I never really understood that. It was one of the things that had me facepalming when I saw people complaining about it. Well anyway, the series still ended up being popular so that’s good at least. And those people who dropped it because of that one scene. Well, they the ones missing out on a good series.

7. Ace Attorney Season 2

Ace Attorney Season 2 I don’t have much to say about this one sadly. Was never able to get into the series so I do not know if it’s bad or good. But I fans of the series must be happy the series is getting another season. Hopefully, it’s a fun watch for them. But if you know nothing about the series like me. Here is a summary of it.

Summary

Rookie lawyer Ryūichi Naruhodō faces his first murder case; the accused defendant is his grade school classmate Masashi Yahari. With limited evidence, logic has become the only weapon Naruhodō has in order to turn the case around when all the odds are stacked against him.(Source:ANN)

8. Senran Kagura 2nd Season

Another series where fans waited many years for a new sequel finally gets a new series. It’s been 5 years since the first series aired and fans of the series have rightfully been waiting and looking forward to this. It’s been a long wait. That’s finally over. Although I am not much into this series I have watched it and can at least understand why some fans would be excited about this. It’s always a nice feeling to see a series you’ve waited years for a season 2 finally get a season 2. Though I’m not excited for it like others I’ll still be following it. As a Guilty Pleasure series. Now then a quick summary of the series. For those people who don’t know what it’s about.

Summary

Asuka and her 4 friends attend the secret Hanzo Academy, which trains young women in the martial art of Ninjutsu. However, the girls find their own skills are inadequate when faced with another group of girls from their rival, Hibi Girls Academy, which trains its Ninjas with the opposite moral philosophy.(Source:ANN)

9. Souten no Ken: REGENESIS 2

Souten no Ken: REGENESIS a series I know nothing about…all I know about this series is its origins and its author. Never actually gave the actual series a try. It might be good might be bad but I can see it probably gets a lot of hate because it’s a 3D CGI anime. But despite that even if many people hate it I know even the most hated thing has some people who love it. So for those looking forward to this. (Ambien Generic) They are probably happy to see a new season airing this season. Now for its summary for those who don’t know what’s it about. Then we can wrap up the article.

Summary

A mysterious man known as “the King of Death” roams the streets of pre-war Shanghai in this action-packed prequel to Fist of the North Star.

Shanghai in the 1930s is a dangerous place. Foreign governments and Chinese factions have carved the city into different quarters, each with its own laws and government, and all rife with corruption. Wrapping up the article

And that Wraps up the guide to all Fall 2018 Anime Sequels. See I wasn’t wrong about so many sequels airing this season. It’s shocking how much there are right? I don’t think any other season will be able to top this season when it comes to how many sequels are airing in one season. It’s honestly amazing.
