Date: 28/09/2018

The October issue of Kadokawa’s Monthly Comic Gene has announced on its cover page that Boku no Tonari ni Ankoku Hankaishin ga Imasu manga will be getting an anime adaptation. The manga is written and illustrated by Arata Aki. The English name for the manga is “There is a Dark God of Destruction next to me”.  The story of the manga follows a young boy named Seri Koyuki. Seri usually avoids all weird and strange people because he does not want to end up being the straight man. However, that all changes when he meets Kabuto Hanadari. Kabuto is a bit strange and delusional, you could say that he is the odd-ball in this anime. Being the oddball that he is, he believes in having a special power in his eye.  The power is sealed off by his eye patch.

Kabuto claims that removing his eyepatch will release his alter ego. He refers to his alter ego as Michael Offenbarung Dunkelheit.  Kabuto also claims that his alter ego is the God of Destruction.  Seri ends up having trouble with his odd classmate Kabuto. However, he still tries to somehow keep him in check.  Boku no Tonari ni Ankoku Hankaishin ga Imasu was launched in 2013. If you like comedy, slice of life and school environment then you will definitely love this anime. I know I will be checking it out when it’s released. As for the release date, well, it has not been announced yet. However, we will be sure to notify you of it when it is announced. Judging by the low amount of information we have, this anime could air in 2019/2020. The sooner the better.
