The official website for the upcoming new Netflix anime series Baki has launched. Furthermore, it carried the details of the main cast and staff members for the anime. Nobunaga Shimazaki will voice the protagonist, Baki Hanma. In addition, a promotional video and key visuals made a release on Twitter. Netflix will stream the 26-episode anime series in Japan this summer and internationally during fall 2018. TMS Entertainment will be producing the anime while Toshiki Hirano will be the directing it.
The anime will adapt the Saikyou Shikeishuu (Most Evil Death Row Prisoners) arc, the first of the three arcs from Keisuke Itagaki’s Baki: New Grappler Baki manga.
The protagonist, Baki Hanma, trains with an intense focus to become strong enough to surpass his father, Yujiro Hanma, the strongest fighter in the world. Five of the world’s most violent and brutal death row inmates are gathering to face him. Their objective is to taste defeat — their unmatched strength and skill have led them to grow bored of life itself, and they now seek out Baki in the hopes that he can overwhelm and utterly crush them. In this crisis, other underground martial art warriors gather to fight by Baki’s side: Kaoru Hanayama, Gouki Shibukawa, Retsu Kaioh, and Doppo Orochi. An epic showdown between violent death row inmates and Baki and his friends begins!

What We Can Expect
Firstly, we can expect this anime to stay true to the hype and provide its viewers with a very thrilling experience. Secondly, wrestling with no rules and bloody fights? Who is not going to love this? Well, maybe some people would not approve of violence but we can probably hope for this to be the ‘Fight Culb’ of the anime world. Moreover, the manga has good ratings and decent reviews. Finally, the art quality looks good and I am eager for a teaser depicting a fight scene to come out. I really look forward to this anime. Viewers who love this kind of plot have all the reason to cheer. It is definitely exciting when a group of badass characters come together.
