Shō Izumi’s Sweet Punishment (Amai Chōbatsu ~Watashi wa Kanshu Senyō Pet) manga is receiving an anime adaptation. The official website reveals more details about the anime by releasing a promotional video.
The promo video introduces the art quality and furthermore, the video reveals the anime’s theme song “Sweet Punishment” by rosukey. The anime shorts will start to premiere on 1st April 2018 and the “complete version” of the anime with “additional explicit scenes” will premiere by the midnight, same day.
Sweet Punishment – Synopsis
The story is set in a prison in the near future year of “20XX.” It revolves around Saotomi Haruna (CV: Mariya Ariyoshi) — an office lady imprisoned despite her innocence. Consequently, in the prison, she meets the elegant yet sadistic guard Miki Akashi (CV: Yoshiyuki Yamatani). Hina’s heart and body are at the mercy of Myojin’s “cruel yet sweet domination” from physical examinations to even her lover’s prison visits. The subtitle of the original manga’s title translates as “I Am the Guard’s Private Pet.”

What We Can Expect
Firstly, we have here an anime which is clearly counting on fan service. Is this going to be the anime version of ’50 Shades of Grey’? Maybe be. That said, I would be happy if something good comes out of this, something thought-provoking. Ok, so that aside, I really look forward to the art to be amazing. Because, if that can turn out to be good, it would definitely make a great watch. Finally, I wish for a great chemistry between the two main characters.
